We use a Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) Software called Thermal Analysis Software (TAS). This allows us to create 3D models of buildings as well as apply appropriate constructions, internal conditions, heating ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC systems. These are then simulated against design winter and summer weather data to look for any environmental performance characteristics of the building and systems. This is usually followed by simulations of performance for each hour of the year against the CIBSE/Met Office Test Reference Years and Design Summer Years to give annual performance results for any number of environmental factors.
